EVALINE NESS (1911 - 1986) garnered much acclaim during her long and prolific career as a children's book illustrator. She
was a believer in variety, always experimenting with new techniques,
and was an expert in in many types of reproduction, including her own
inventive methods of achieving a particular effect. Her many books include the Caldecott Medal winner Sam, Bangs & Moonshine, which she also wrote, and the Caldecott Honor Books All in the Morning Early and A Pocketful of Cricket. Learn more about the illustrator. |
